Speaking in Tongues

Speaking in Tongues is my desert island album. Talking Heads have been an all-time favorite, and “This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody)” was the first dance at my wedding. I own two vinyl pressings and a cassette copy of the album.

Two Ton Boa

Duets

Two Ton Boa was the first band I ever toured with. I worked as part of their management team in the early oughts, and this record cover uses artwork that Sherry originally designed for the invitations when she and Scott got married.

Dare

“Don’t You Want Me” is one of the songs that made me want to learn how to DJ. It’s nearly perfect for dancing, and it mixes with both No Wave and R&B, the two opposing ends of my DJ spectrum.

Iggy Pop

The Idiot

Produced by David Bowie, The Idiot is an incredible album from start to finish. Bowie later recorded his own version of one of its tracks, which became one of his most recognizable songs. “Sister Midnight” is a particular favorite of mine.
